Pike High School Student Parking Procedures
1. Parking Permit Requirement:
- All students who wish to drive to school must obtain a parking permit with proof of a valid driver’s license.
2. How to Apply for a Parking Permit:
- Parking permit applications are available electronically on the Pike High School website.
- To apply, follow these steps:
- Visit the Pike High School website at [www.pike.k12.in.us/4/home](http://www.pike.k12.in.us/4/home).
- Select the drop-down arrow next to “Student Resources/Activities.”
- Click on “Parking Permit Application.”
- Complete all required fields in the application and submit it electronically.
3. Required Documentation and Payment:
- After submitting the electronic application, students must present a valid driver’s license (Learner’s Permits are not acceptable) to the Pike High School Student Services office.
- The cost of the parking permit is $10, payable by cash or check only.
4. Parking Location:
- All students are required to park in the designated student lot, located off Zionsville Road, just west of the football stadium.
- Proper display of the parking tag is mandatory.
5. Early Release Procedures:
- Students with early release must exit through one of the main entries for security reasons.
- Such students will be issued a special school ID to expedite the exit process.
6. Responsibilities and Conduct:
- Driving to school is a privilege that carries responsibilities, including the care of property, adherence to safety rules, and the display of courtesy and consideration toward others.
- The School Board will not be responsible for any vehicles that are lost, stolen, or damaged while parked on school grounds.
7. Permit Revocation:
- Parking permits are subject to revocation if a student violates any of the school’s parking regulations or fails to uphold the standards expected by the school.
