bunnies
Animal Science

In our animal science classes, we use bunnies to provide students with hands-on learning experiences that deepen their understanding of animal care, biology, and behavior. Through direct interaction with these gentle animals, students gain practical knowledge about proper handling techniques, nutrition, health monitoring, and the responsibilities of animal husbandry. This approach not only enriches their learning but also fosters compassion and respect for living creatures, preparing them for future roles in animal science and veterinary care.

SupplyChain
Supply Chains

Students explore the essential concept of supply chains, learning how goods and services move from producers to consumers. Students gain a practical understanding of logistics, transportation, and inventory management while discussing real-world examples that illustrate the impact of supply chains on businesses and everyday life. This comprehensive approach equips them with valuable insights into the interconnectedness of global markets and prepares them for future careers in business and industry.

HVAC
HVAC Students

HVAC students go on a walk through of the Pike Township Library as it is being remodeled. They were granted access by Holladay Construction and the Pike Township Library board to visit the site. A journeyman from local 440 plumbers and pipefitters is discussing how they installed the boilers and the piping, what tools they needed, the time it took. They spent an hour talking with my students discussing all sorts of things about how life is when you work in a trade. Behind him is his apprentice, and to the far right is the project manager. On this trip we were also able to talk to two of the architects on the project, the structural architect and the interior design architect who happened to be on site as we were walking around.

Allison Transmission's National STEM Day

RoboDevils had a great time talking with Allison employees about our projects and learning about their technologies. RoboDevils also exchanged ideas with students from other teams. 😀🤖

Our Mission

In Pike Township we have an incredible school community that is fully invested in our mission to “cultivate a diverse, innovative learning environment by opening doors of opportunity for students to achieve their maximum potential”. This investment can be seen through a variety of local partnerships, the academic initiatives and experiences, and a staff that works diligently to provide a world-class education. Pike High School’s 93% graduation rate and IDOE recognition as an “A” school makes us #PikeProud of our accomplishments
