Reporting Attendance
In accordance with Indiana Attendance Law, SEA 482, there are four ways to report an absence in order to determine whether or not an absence will be excused:
- Send a note via your student stating they remained at home the previous day(s) due to illness, funeral of immediate family member, religious holiday, etc.
- Send a doctor’s statement, legal document, etc. via your student so they can turn it in to the PHS or PFC attendance office. Send an email via Parent Square.
- Send scanned/screenshot statements and/or emails to one of the following:
- Ms. Higgins, PFC Attendance Secretary
- Mrs. Sprowl, PHS Attendance Secretary
Students with 504 Accommodations
Parents and guardians, please review your student’s 504 plan and report absences as indicated in their plan.
Other Attendance Related Concerns
For questions related to single period absences, contact your student’s classroom teacher or grade level administrator at one of the following:
- Mr. Evans – grade 9
- Mrs. Taylor-Nickolson – grade 10
- Mrs. Williams – grade 11
- Mr. Csikos – grade 12
